"The transformation of sales channels, with the implementation of a new generation of Automatic Vending Machines (MVA), in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area network, is extremely important to make our customers' lives more autonomous, avoiding queues and facilitating access to essential services for their mobility".

Thus, the "more than 300 pieces of equipment, currently being implemented, offer a significant evolution in the functionalities made available to customers, currently representing more than 50% of sales transactions in Lisbon's urban services, reflecting the importance and high impact on customer experience".

"With the increase in the quantities to be installed, CP - Comboios de Portugal intends to double its supply of Automatic Vending Machines (MVA), in Lisbon's urban transport, expecting to achieve around 70% of transactions through them".

The company also adds that the "308 machines are already being implemented on the main lines of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area – Sintra, Cascais, Azambuja, Sado, Oeste and Alentejo lines and at Vendas Novas station.

To date, 278 machines are already in operation, representing 90% of the total planned".
