"Over 80 artists, bands, and projects will perform at this year's F Festival, which will run for four days (September 4-7), a change from the usual three-day format. This is the 'big news' of the edition, according to Vasco Sacramento, director of the promoter Sons em Trânsito."

“The extra day [which falls on a Sunday and is a public holiday in Faro, allows us to] further expand the range of proposals that we can cover at the festival, offer an even more diverse programme and provide a broader overview of Portuguese music than ever before”, stated the promoter, on the sidelines of the presentation of the festival’s line-up in Lisbon.

As this is the 10th edition, the organisation decided, on the one hand, to “take stock of what has been done in the past”, including on the line-up “artists who had very notable appearances at F”, such as Diogo Piçarra, Pedro Abrunhosa and the Revenge of the 90’s party, “which had a big impact on two editions”.

On the last day, 7 September, the programme will start earlier “and will be especially dedicated to children and young people”, something that has never been done before at the festival.

“F is a very family-friendly festival and we believe that it will be a winning bet, with shows by Nina Toc Toc, Chinfrim, a project by Rita Redshoes, Caju and Bambu and storytelling sessions”, he said.

The vice-president of Faro City Council, which co-organises the festival, also highlights the extra day, “which will have more affordable ticket prices and a programme aimed at everyone, particularly families”.

"This year, the F Festival introduces a mobile app with a ‘gamification’ feature for a personalized experience. Since its 2014 debut, the festival has grown from two days and 5,000 attendees to four days and 24,000 people, expanding into Faro’s historic center and beyond.

Tickets for the festival are already on sale.

There is a pre-sale period until July 31, limited to one thousand daily tickets and one thousand four-day passes. Daily tickets cost 20 euros for September 4, 5 and 6, and eight euros for September 7.
