Among the problems highlighted are, for example, the lack of a multifunction monitor and emergency vehicle in the operating room, the lack of computed tomography (CT) scanners in the imaging department, as well as malfunctions in radiography (X-ray) and electrocardiograph equipment, and the obsolescence of multifunction monitors in the emergency room.
The motion highlights that these deficiencies compromise the quality of healthcare provided to the population and calls on the central government and the Algarve Local Health Unit to take urgent action to resolve the situation.
The municipality, however, is willing to, as in previous situations, collaborate in strengthening medical diagnostic equipment, defending the population's right to health, as well as the dignity, work, and good performance of professionals.
