Mariza will perform on the 20th, followed by Dillaz on the 21st, Gabriel "O Pensador" on the 22nd, Fernando Daniel on the 23rd, and The Gift on the 24th, with special appearances by Coral and the Amália Hoje project.
There will also be musical entertainment, with performances by local DJs, bands, orchestras, and philharmonic orchestras.
The event features food stalls, a showcase of economic activities in a space dedicated to local businesses, amusement rides and carousels, the 24th Alcobaça Equestrian Festival, the 31st São Bernardo Cycling Circuit, and an automotive inspection. The program also includes the "Marcas de Alcobaça" exhibition, featuring ceramics, cutlery, and agri-food products, a display of agricultural machinery and animals, showcooking sessions, a museum exhibition, and live and on-site crafts.
The event takes place on the municipal holiday of August 20th, the Day of Saint Bernard, representative of the Cistercian Order and a spiritual and historical pillar of Alcobaça's identity and the centuries-old São Bernardo Fair.
The festivities are free and organized by the Alcobaça City Hall.
The São Bernardo Fair has been held for eight centuries in honor of Alcobaça's patron saint and a major figure of the Cistercian Order, Saint Bernard of Clairvaux.
The Cistercian monks introduced various agricultural, gastronomic, and industrial techniques that remain the foundation of the local economy.
Since 2022, the fair has returned to the city centre, stretching between Rossio and Cova da Onça.
Mariza is utterly amazing, but I don't think she's Portuguese... from Mozambique.
