About The Algarve Photography Club

Launched over a cup of coffee in January 2022, The Algarve Photography Club began as a small gathering of passionate photographers. In just two years, it has blossomed into a thriving community with 12 active members. Each member brings a unique photographic background and personal style, creating a diverse and dynamic environment that is both welcoming and inspiring.

The club's mission is to foster a supportive space where photographers can encourage each other to develop and excel in their craft. Monthly meetings include themed photo outings, followed by feedback and discussion sessions two weeks later. These gatherings are not only about growth but also about enjoying the different interpretations each photographer brings to the theme.

Introducing "Glimpses of Portugal"

Building on the success of their previous exhibition focused on the Algarve, The Algarve Photography Club is thrilled to broaden their artistic scope with "Glimpses of Portugal." This exhibition aims to showcase the diverse beauty of Portugal as seen through the lenses of the club's members. Each photograph is a testament to the photographers' love and appreciation for their country, capturing its landscapes, culture, and spirit.

The exhibition is open to the public October 2-31 at the Escola de Artes de Lagoa, R. Afonso Costa, 8400-309 Lagoa
