38-year-old Greg went missing in Albufeira on Tuesday, 27 May at around 8,30pm.

His sister told The Portugal News that: “Greg was on a friend's stag do, they went out for drinks and he left his friends to go back to the apartment and has not been seen since. This is totally out of character for Greg”.

The PJ police confirmed that “the body of a British citizen who has been missing since 28 May, has been located in the Cerro de Águia area in Albufeira”.

They added that after searches in the area of the last sighting of Greg, that his body was found on a vacant and rough lot of land.

“After the appropriate judicial inspection, the body will be removed to the Forensic Medicine Office of the area in order to perform an autopsy”, concluded the police.
