Lisbon: Clear skies are forecast this weekend with temperatures peaking at 38 degrees on Saturday and 37 degrees on Sunday and dropping to lows of 22 degrees. From Monday, temperatures are to start to fall, and there will be some light cloud cover with temperatures averaging highs of 32 degrees.
The north: It will be very hot over the weekend with highs of 39 degrees on Saturday and 37 degrees on Sunday, although evenings will feel cool with lows of 18 degrees. The intermittent cloud cover is to continue throughout the following week, but temperatures will fall to highs of 32 degrees by Wednesday.
The centre: High temperatures and clear skies are to continue this weekend with highs of 41 degrees on Saturday and 40 degrees on Sunday and tropical nights with lows of 23 degrees each day. From Monday, intermittent cloud cover is expected and temperatures are to begin to slowly drop to highs of 36 degrees.
The south: The Algarve will be the coolest region of Portugal over the weekend, with highs of 33 degrees on Saturday and 32 degrees on Sunday with clear skies. From Monday, intermittent cloud cover is expected; however, temperatures are to remain at average highs of 33 degrees and lows of 22 degrees.
Madeira: Intermittent cloud cover and highs of 30 degrees are forecast for Saturday, while on Sunday, clear skies are expected with highs of 29 degrees. There will be an increase in cloud cover from Monday and average highs of 28 degrees.
The Azores: The rain is to ease over the weekend; however, heavy cloud is still expected with a chance of rain on both days and highs of 27 degrees. On Monday, the cloud is to clear slightly before building up again from Tuesday.
