Silves, with its rich history and relaxed ambience, has just welcomed a new coworking into its heart—COWO.

COWO is a newly opened concept store and co-working space that blends productivity with community and well-being. Owned by a German couple who fell in love with this picturesque Algarve town, COWO was born from a simple but timely idea. There is a growing number of people living and working remotely in the region. Why not create a space where people can meet, work and enjoy a cup a coffee?

You can simply bring your laptop or mobile device, settle in, and use the space free of charge! COWO is a relaxed and vibrant spot, and if you are tired of working from home and want to meet other people who work from home, this is the best place to go. COWO offers a welcoming environment for anybody needing a quiet and inspiring spot to work.

Digital nomads, freelancers, remote workers, or even travellers passing through the streets of Silves, everybody is welcome.

Currently, they have summer opening hours from Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, and Saturday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Once the summer season is over, the opening hours will be extended.

Working or not, you can also take a seat outside on the peaceful terrace and enjoy the sunshine and peaceful vibes of Silves.

If you are a fan of healthy food, don’t miss the chance to try their fresh and health-focused menu. All ingredients are fresh, and you will not be disappointed if you try a fresh juice, smoothie, or bowls made with ingredients like açaí, matcha, and high-quality Greek yogurt.

Looking ahead to the cooler months, the owners have exciting plans for "digital detox" on Friday evenings. If you wish to spend one evening of the week offline, surrounded by friends or family, engaging in classic board games like chess, ludo, Chinese checkers, or poker, like we used to do, take your family here and enjoy the option to connect with other families. But remember, no mobiles are allowed!

COWO is also a concept store. In their current pop-up store, you can find a good selection of quality surf apparel, boardshorts, wetsuits, bikinis and other accessories ideal for those who love to hit the Algarve waves.

In case you need to take care of some paperwork and don’t have a printer at home, they also offer some practical services like printing, scanning, and laminating, making it a convenient space for both work and creativity.

If you are looking for a space to host a team meeting, seminar, or even a private celebration, COWO offers its space for rent. The rates are accessible, €29 per hour or €199 for a full day. You’re welcome to bring your own food, and if needed, the owner is happy to assist with catering arrangements to help make your event seamless and special.
