The operation, which took place mainly in the main nightlife hotspots, aimed to prevent and suppress illegal activities. The arrests included 19 men, aged between 20 and 47, and two women, aged 20 and 27, the GNR said in a statement.

Of the total arrests, 13 were for driving with a blood alcohol level equal to or greater than 1.2 grams per litre, four for illegally engaging in private security, two for drug trafficking, one for driving without a license, and one for disobedience.

During the operation, 31 charges were issued: 27 for traffic violations, two related to nightclubs, and two for drug use.

The GNR also seized 68 doses of cocaine, 31 doses of hashish, 62.7 litres of nitrous oxide, 1,995 euros, and 190 pounds.

The operation was supported by the GNR's Public Order and Intervention Group, and also included the presence of members of the French and Italian police, currently supporting the GNR's Faro Territorial Command.
