Selected from over 750 nominees across 36 countries, Dr. Wiggins was recognised for her work helping organisations transform their culture through cross-cultural communication, inclusive leadership, and gender equity. The awards ceremony featured a special appearance by The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, who is a long-time champion of the awards and women’s leadership worldwide.
Originally from the U.S., Dr. Wiggins relocated to Lisbon to bring her cultural agility expertise to Europe. She now runs workshops across Portugal on topics such as Women Supporting Women in the Workplace, Gender Equity, and Communicating Across Our Differences. She also serves on the board of mentors for Women Leaders Circle of Lisbon, is a member of Lisbon Business Leaders, and partners with universities, nonprofits, and companies throughout the region.
In the past year, she delivered the keynote at the National Organisation for Women Conference in Las Vegas, led International Women’s Day events for Siemens Energy, and consulted for major brands like Microsoft, Charles Schwab, and Penske Media Corporation, the parent company of Rolling Stone and Variety.
Dr. Wiggins is a TEDx speaker, the co-author of From Sabotage to Support, and holds a PhD in Language, Education, and Society. She aims to collaborate with the Women in Tech Lounge at Web Summit 2025 as she continues her mission to drive global change through inclusive and compassionate leadership.
