On his gofundme page he writes “Starting on 2nd October 2020 I will be riding a 250cc dirt bike for 3000 kms from the south of Portugal to the north and back. Approximately 80% of the trails will be off-road.”
He also explains that “more than 80% of local workers are working directly or indirectly with tourism. In normal times they earn their money from Easter to September and these funds have to last them through the winter. This year restaurants were closed until May 18 and tourists didn’t start to arrive until mid-July. Traditionally there are very few tourists during the winter in the East Algarve. With no food banks and very little other support the families will be relying very heavily on East Algarve Families in Need again very soon.”
Bryans goal is to raise 3000 Euros for the charity and he will be covering all of the costs for himself and his motorcycle out of his own pocket.
