In a press release, Continente supermarkets revealed that DECO PROTeste’s analysis was based on a “daily collection of prices from a basket representative of household consumption”, which included a price comparison of more than 200 products, “in nine online supermarkets”.

Continente supermarkets’ online shopping service was launched more than 20 years ago, in a “continuous commitment to innovation and improving household consumption habits”. Over time, it has not only shown a growing trend in the number of users, but also a need “as seen during the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Guilherme Cardoso, MC's Head of E-commerce, quoted in the press release, reveals that “this recognition from DECO PROTeste confirms our leadership in price competitiveness and reinforces our commitment to the economy and the needs of families, to whom we provide a simple, accessible and convenient shopping experience, without compromising the quality or diversity of our offer. We will continue to invest in improving Continente Online so that customers can buy what they want, when they want and how they want.”

The brand guarantees that, through Continente Online, “it has been strengthening its value proposition, focusing on an increasingly diversified offer and an accessible and convenient shopping experience.” Currently, there are more than 40 thousand items available for online purchases, “from food products to toys and household items.” In addition to the diversity of products, buyers can also enjoy “fast home delivery services or collection in more than 200 physical stores with the Click&Go service.”

All results were published in the DECO PROTeste simulator, a tool that has been monitoring price trends since 2021.
