The ban on festivals and shows "of a similar nature" had been defined by law in March and was in force until September 30, and now the deadline has been extended to October 14.
According to the law, shows "may exceptionally take place, either indoors or outdoors, with a marked place", after prior communication and "in compliance with the capacity specifically defined by the Directorate-General for Health, according to the rules of physical distancing", appropriate to the evolution of the pandemic.
According to the Minister of State and the Presidency, Mariana Vieira da Silva, the contingency situation will be reassessed by the executive within two weeks, when a more in-depth analysis of the impact of the first weeks of students returning to schools is available.
