According to Lusa News Agency, the GNR blocked access to the shopping centre, however following inspections from a bomb disposal unit, the centre has now reopened to the public.
A GNR spokesman said: “The situation has already been normalised and resolved”.
“GNR patrols and a bomb disposal unit were sent to the scene to investigate the bomb threat and following searches the threat was declared to be false.”
A man connected to making the bomb threat has since been identified by the police and detained and the shopping centre is now operating normally.
