The average monthly salary in general government (including subsidies, supplements, bonuses and overtime) in April was €1,730 gross, an increase of 0.1% compared to January and 1.5% year-on-year.

The statistical summary of the DGAEP also shows that magistrates command an average basic salary of €4,860 gross, while operational assistants and auxiliary staff receive €680 gross.
In turn, diplomats continue to earn the highest average monthly salaries in public administration, €9,480.
