The festival, dedicated to craft beer, has more than 100 types of beer, the vast majority national, and also notes the presence of producers from the region of Coimbra, João Claro, promoter of the event co-organized by Praxis, producer of City beer told Lusa.

At the event, it will be possible to try traditional beers alongside other more experimental beers, including gluten-free beer, pumpkin beer or fruit, he said.

According to João Claro, the organisation expects to receive about 10,000 visitors at the festival.

In addition to selling draft beer, there will also be bottled points of sale, being a free admission event.

Inside, to taste the different beers, it is necessary to buy the festival glass (which costs three Euros), as well as tokens to use with each brewer, he explained.

At the festival, in addition to beer, there will be commented tastings of regional cuisine, a catering venue, conferences, as well as an associated cultural programme, with various concerts and ‘Dj sets'.

The festival has the support of several entities, such as the Coimbra Chamber, Águas de Coimbra, the Centro de Turismo de Portugal or the Intermunicipal Community of the Coimbra Region
