According to newspaper Correio da Manhã the man was killed immediately in the accident at the foreign-owned luxury villa near Manuel Lourenço beach in Sesmarias at around 7.30pm last night.
Albufeira fire-fighters and INEM emergency medics were at the scene and confirmed the death; GNR police are investigating the accident.
