In comparison with Friday's data, which recorded 1,383 deaths, today there was an increase in deaths of almost 1% (0.9%).

Regarding the number of confirmed cases of infection with the new coronavirus (32,203), data from the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) show that there are 257 more cases than on Friday, which represents an increase of 0.8% in compared to the previous day.

The North region continues to be the one with the highest number of deaths (773), followed by the region of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley (354), the Center (238), the Algarve and the Azores (both with 15) and the Alentejo , which registers a death, advances the epidemiological situation report, with data updated until 24:00 on Friday, keeping the Autonomous Region of Madeira without registering deaths.

According to data from the Directorate-General for Health, 708 fatalities are women and 688 are men.
