To be released in November, "Maria" is Carminho's fifth album and is described as the most personal of her career.

For the first time, she is responsible for the production and writing of some songs. Also singing on the new album are two fado references: Beatriz da Conceição and Teresa Siqueira, Carminho's mother.

In the coming weeks, Carminho will have an intense schedule of concerts in Portugal and other European stages.

On November 8, her North American tour starts in Boston. The next day she will be in Toronto followed by Montreal on 10 November. On November 17, San Francisco (USA) and 19, Alexandria (Canada).

Maria do Carmo Rebelo de Andrade, known as Carminho, made her solo debut in 2009 with "Fado", and in previous years she sang at her mother's fado house, Taverna do Embuçado, in Lisbon, and several shows dedicated to fado.

In the last decade, she has recorded with artists from other musical areas, such as Brazilian singers Chico Buarque, Milton Nascimento, Marisa Monte, Ney Matogrosso and Nana Caymmi, and with Spanish singer, Pablo Alborán.

"Maria" succeeds the album "Carminho Canta Jobim", released on December 2016.
