According to the company’s data, in the period between midnight and 8am there were 69 of 75 regional trains and all scheduled on Long Haul connections (11) and the Lisbon Urban service (114) and Porto (51).
The minimum services defined for 17 July strike determines that trains that are in circulation at the time of the start of the strike must reach their destination.
The unions involved in the labour conflict accused the administration of IP and the Government of having no regard for the workers of the companies of the IP group (Infrastructures; Telecom; Heritage and Engineering) and of having done nothing to find a solution that “opened lines of negotiation of workers’ demands and problems.”
The union structures complained that the company had not presented any proposal that would allow “to open a serious negotiation process, not only around wage matters, but other matters identified by union organisations.”
Customers who already have tickets purchased for the date of the strike, to travel on trains of the Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, InterRegional and Regional services, can request a refund of the total value of the ticket, or its revalidation, free of charge.
These requests can be submitted up to 10 days after the strike is over.
