The large blaze erupted on the fringes of the resort on Saturday afternoon.
It is believed to have been caused by a controlled fire to clear land, which spread out of control, fanned by strong winds.
Up to 50 firefighters were at the scene; the fire had been extinguished by Sunday morning.
