According to newspaper Correio da Manhã, the pilot and the passenger in the private plane escaped unscathed after it landed off the runway at the Municipal Aerodrome in Alvor following engine issues. Firefighters were dispatched when the aircraft declared an emergency shortly after take-off, but it landed without incident.
