Figures from its management Estoril Sol indicated that last decade the casino has paid out some 3.9 million euros in prizes. Inaugurated in 2006, the Casino fills the space where the old Expo 98 pavilion once stood, and has during its first ten years in business welcomed some 17 million visitors. On Tuesday night, Canadian soprano Natalie Choquette and Portuguese band The Gift performed at the casino as part of the celebrations.
