The flight from Bergamo, Italy, was coming in to land at Porto and was on final approach when the Italian national shouted that he had planted a bomb onboard.
The aircraft was held in an isolation zone as police carried out a sweep of the aircraft; it was quickly established that the incident was a hoax and the man was arrested.
A spokesman from Ryanair said: “This flight from Milan Bergamo to Porto (11 June) landed normally in Porto. As Portuguese authorities received a hoax security alert, customers remained on board while the police carried out a security search and cleared the aircraft to return to service. This is now a matter for local police.”
Are you kidding, you're going to HOLD ME ONBOARD while you search for a bomb ? Pretty high liability there if a bomb DID go off ! Stupid action.
IF there is a possibility of a bomb on my airplane, I want to get off as fast as I can, let them hold us on the ground away from the airplane.
