In a “completely different edition, designed based on the current situation”, according to ModaLisboa director Eduarda Abbondanza, the fashion week in the Portuguese capital kicks off on digital platforms.
Through an application for mobile phones and tablets, a TV application for Meo customers and a 'microsite', it will be possible to follow day-to-day of the 55th edition.
"People can watch, from home, not only what we are going to do, but also a series of content that we have prepared and that will only exist digitally", said Eduarda Abbondanza, speaking to Lusa.
Although the presentations of the collections are accessible by invitation only, some will take place in an open space, the Resort, in the part of the garden closest to the Marquês de Pombal, with entrance through the square.
The Resort, with a maximum capacity of 350 people, will have free access, "but people will have to register" because the organisation of ModaLisboa must "have everyone's registration".
The 55th edition of ModaLisboa runs until 11 October.
