According to the Portuguese Met Office a number of other areas, such as Vila do Bispo, Portimão, Silves and Loulé have been placed on the second highest level of readiness.


These alerts are made taking into consideration weather patterns over the previous 24 hours, rainfall, temperatures and wind speeds.
