The proposal will also aim to reduce the amount of camper vans parking in dangerous and unsafe areas, such as near cliff tops or dunes.
The announcement comes after it was revealed that the number of campervans visiting the Algarve has more than doubled in the space of two years, up to 29,000 last year from a figure of 13,000 in 2012.
