A statement from Lisbon council said the deadline for new offers expired on Friday afternoon at 5pm and by that time no new bids had been made.
However, the council added that three firm shows of interest had been expressed by properly identified investors although their formal proposals were still being drawn up. Friday would have been the second time the land went to auction in a bid to sell it.
