Portimão to distribute 250,000 face masks

Portimão is to distribute 250,000 face masks among residents to stem the spread of COVID-19.

According to Mayor Isilda Gomes, the face masks are set to arrive next week and residents can expect to receive an average of four masks each.

Despite having the first reported case of in the Algarve, Portimão has not reported any infections of COVID-19 among its residents for five consecutive days.

There are face masks and there are face masks, the blue surgical mask is a one time mask, to be replaced often, the N95 mask is the only mask to
offer some (not 100%) protection, giving people false hope is criminal, give people face masks but don't give instruction on how to use it or its limitations, giving people soap would be a better idea, ps if someone coughs near you and you have a mask, remember, you can absorb it through your eyes.
