The October 5 national holiday celebrates the anniversary of the establishment of a Republican Government in 1910, and will see most services and amenities closed for the day.
According to the Met Office, tomorrow could see the peak of the week’s good weather, with highs of around 33 degrees Celsius forecast for Lisbon and 30 for the Algarve.
