According to the proposal made to the heads of state of the 28 member states on Thursday, Portugal should get more than €32.7 million from the “Asylum, Migration and Integration Funs”, plus another €19 million from the “Internal security Fund” for the borders and €18.7 million for the police authorities.
This means that Portugal would get a total of €70.37 million over the six-year period.
In total, the 28 counties are to get €4.4 billion.
Portugal is expected to take about 4,500 refugees as part of the resettlement mechanism in the European community.
Imagine what that kind of money would do to helping the poor already in Portugal, it appears the EU is more interested in helping economic migrants than their own.
