The announcement was made on Saturday by the Prime Minister that all municipalities with more than 240 cases of Covid-19 per 100,000 inhabitants, in the past 14 days, will be subject to more restrictive measures to combat the pandemic.
Nationally, 121 municipalities were subject to the straighter measures; São Brás de Alportel is the only one of the Algarve’s 16 counties to be on the list.
Re the above article, we are staying outside Sao Bras until March, the commune boundary of Tavira being 2 miles away.
Are we to be stopped from going to Tavira, when we hardly enter Sao Bras at all.
And why has it not been made common knowledge that most of the cases are in elderly residents in care homes.
An unfair ruling to make Sao Bras the only area in the Algarve to go back under more severe restrictions. We are sure other areas have as many cases.
