In a statement issued by the Portuguese Presidency, the three-day official visit will start on 28 November.
The Spanish Royals have a jam-packed itinerary that will see them visit Porto, Guimarães and Lisbon.
The Presidency explained that in addition to the customary political and institutional components of the visit, it will also be strongly focussed on cultural, scientific, economic and social links between the two Iberian nations.
Following their arrival in Porto, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia will head for Guimarães where they will be hosted by President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa for a dinner.
The following day, the Spanish monarchs will head to the Serralves Foundation where they will be shown the Joan Miró collection.
The royal couple will also be having a lunch with business people from northern Portugal, before heading south to the Portuguese capital.
Once in Lisbon, King Felipe and Queen Letizia will be welcomed at the Town Hall before heading off for a banquet at the Palácio das Necessidades that is to be hosted by Prime Minister António Costa.
The couple will also be meeting with the local Spanish community at the Lisbon Embassy and will pay a visit to the Champalimaud Foundation.
Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa visited the Spanish King in Madrid a week after his inauguration when he took the opportunity to invite him to visit Portugal.
