Secretary of State for Transport of the United Kingdom, Grant Shapps wrote on Twitter “We continue to keep the Travel Corridor list under constant review & won't hesitate to remove countries if needed. However, there are no English additions or removals today.”
Portugal recorded on 3 September 418 newly infected and two more deaths and now records 23 cases per 100.000 over seven days, which is above the figure that the UK initially deemed safe, and also above the figure Portugal recorded when it was on the Quarantine List.

Now Portugal has breathing space to keep Algarve tourism alive- control here has been excellent compared to UK but please shut down night clubs and make bars close at 23h- could make a big difference-tourism doesnt need night clubs or people drinking themselves silly till 1am

If you are reporting on Portugals travel corridors to and from the UK, could you please include all of Portugal and it's islands, Madeira and Azores, clarification on them would be handy. I know it's a long way from the Algarve, but it's still Portugal.

I'm in albufeira right now and prior to booking we would accept any quarantine put in place while abroad..... same as anyone should who travels right now. Nowhere is without risk, if you choose to take a gamble on the corridor being closed prior to the statement then thats everyone's choice, but can't you complain if you change flight and corridor stays open ..... thats the gamble.

People here are taking it more seriously than in the U.K. The Brits are probably taking covid here, not the other way around.
