According to health officials, both cases were foreign nations.

In one of the cases, a Chinese woman who had travelled from her home country to Portugal via Dubai was admitted to a Lisbon hospital, but later cleared.

The second case was a young Brazilian man who was treated in Porto. To date, six suspected cases have been dealt with in Portugal, with all testing negative.
