Validly of expiring documents extended by six months

Official documents due to expire at the end of this month are now valid until 31 March 2021, the government has announced.

This applies to Portuguese documents such as ID cards, drivers’ licences and other certificates issued by national registry services. The government has extended the validity of documents expiring October 31st by six months.

Does this include Passports that expired in August 2020 and ID card which expired in May 2020. We have battled to get appointments to renew. We do have an appointment for ID card on 30/10/20.

My driving licence needs renewing when im 74 in the beginning of december. Do i have to renew it in person. Online or do you have several months to grace torenew it due to covid
