An array of goods, from building materials to laptops, cameras and gold have been stolen in the robberies.


A local resident told the newspaper that no one living in that area is at ease.


The concerns were echoed by Ferreiras Parish Mayor Fernando Gregório, who said he hoped the GNR would put a stop to the wave of crime.
