“A Minha Obra e Eu”: Cristina Ataíde, “(Im)permanências”
"Cristina Ataíde: Dar corpo ao vazio" is the title of this exhibition curated by Sérgio Fazenda Rodrigues, materialised in a course exhibited in five rooms of the museum, where it will be shown until the 14 March 2021, according to the organisation.
Ataíde's art "reveals a place of experimentation and a fascination with discovery that, among others, is anchored in the impulse of travel, in the search for other systems of thought, and in a search for the expression of matter", refers a text of the curatorship on the exhibition.
In the exhibitions of the artist, born in Viseu in 1951, the large installations and the 'site-specific' (works created for specific places) are an important part of her work, in which concerns about nature and its preservation are a constant.
