The `task force' that coordinates the vaccination plan in Portugal had already announced that it intended, in the week of June 6, to start vaccinating the 40-49 age group and, in the week of June 20, the 30-39 age group.

The self-scheduling portal went into operation on April 23; on Sunday mainland Portugal surpassed the milestone of six million doses of vaccines administered against covid-19.
