According to the Comando Metropolitano da PSP (Cometlis), it was an “unconfirmed bomb threat”.
“People were removed by indication of the hostel owner. When we arrived at the place, they were already halfway through the evacuation”, said a PSP source, unable to specify the number of guests that were involved.
Cometlis also explained that Rua do Século was cut off for a short period of time.
“When it came to the issue of evacuation, we helped and then we had to close [the street] until we actually found out if there were threats or danger”, he stressed.
