Portugal’s National Health Service’s 24-hour helpline, SNS24, has set a new record for the number of weekly calls answered with more than 200,000 phone calls registered between 11 and 17 January. The SNS24 answered 279,279 calls that week, more than double the previous record high of 126,860 calls in the last week of December. According to the Ministry of Health, last Friday, January 15th, 45,808 calls were answered, the highest daily number ever.
