All districts of the continent (18) will continue under yellow warning until 12pm today, day when minimum temperatures will vary between -5 degrees Celsius (in Bragança) and 2 (in Faro and Portalegre) and maximums between 8 degrees (in Guarda) and 15 (in Faro). The IPMA extended the yellow warning due to the cold in the districts of Braga, Porto, Aveiro, Vila Real, Bragança, Castelo Branco, Évora and Beja until 9am on Thursday. The yellow warning is issued whenever there is a risk situation for certain activities dependent on the weather situation. The Institute predicts for today on the continent generally clear skies, increasing cloudiness on the coast of the Central region from late afternoon and generally weak wind prevailing from the north quadrant, blowing sometimes moderate in the highlands from late afternoon. The forecast also points to fog or morning fog in some places, which in the interior regions can be icy fog, ice formation or frost, especially indoors and small temperature rise, especially the maximum.
