There have not been so many deaths due to Covid-19 in Portugal since March 18 of this year, the day on which there were also 21 deaths.
According to the daily DGS bulletin, 902 people with Covid-19 are hospitalised (14 less than on Thursday), of which 129 are in intensive care units, where one more person was admitted in the last 24 hours.
Most of the new cases were diagnosed in the North region (841), followed by Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (820 cases) and the Centre region (528).
Of the 21 deaths, five occurred in the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region, five in the Centre, four in the Algarve, three in the North, one in the Alentejo and three in Madeira.
