Sporting is due to host Manchester City on 15 February, 2022, eight days before Benfica's reception against Ajax.

In addition to the Sporting game, the opening day of the next round will also include Paris Saint-Germain against Real Madrid, while Benfica play on 23 February, a Wednesday.

The reception of Rúben Amorim's team against Pep Guardiola's team, in which Portuguese internationals João Cancelo, Rúben Dias and Bernardo Silva line up, comes after the trip to Dragão, to face FC Porto, scheduled for the weekend of February 12th and 13th.

In the second leg, Sporting are to travel to Manchester on Wednesday, 9 March, while Benfica plays in Amsterdam six days later, on 15 March, a Tuesday.

The first leg of the Champions League round of 16 is played on February 15, 16, 22 and 23, while the second is scheduled for March 8, 9, 15 and 16.
