The daily epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) records an increase in the number of hospitalised people, totalling 1,203 admissions today, 36 more than on Monday, 147 of which are in intensive care units, with this number remaining in the last 24 hours.

A similar number was registered in March 2021, when 1,278 patients were hospitalised in the wards.

However, the number of admissions is significantly lower than that recorded in Portugal on the same day a year ago, when 3,171 people were hospitalised, 510 of which were in intensive care.
