“Unfortunately, we are again witnessing high waiting times that exceeded three hours in the arrivals area of Lisbon airport due to the lack of resources and SEF border control posts in operation”, said ANA Aeroportos, in a statement.
The delays took place until 5pm, however, the situation then improved and waiting times decreased, they added.
“Although knowing that the contingency plan announced by the MAI [Ministry of Internal Administration] is being implemented gradually, ANA has already alerted the competent authorities, namely SEF, and hopes that continuous reinforcement will be ensured as soon as possible”, they stressed.
In the press release, ANA highlighted that it had reinforced the support teams for passengers and provided water.
Are the queues in the non-EU arrivals? Passengers coming from the Schengen area should not be affected by delays.

It was easier getting into a Guns N' Roses concert then going through SEF at the Airport...Take me down to the paradise city
Where the grass is green and the girls are pretty
Take me home (oh, won't you please take me home)...Rock On Lisboa!
