“Most infections have been reported, to date, in Lisbon and
Vale do Tejo, but there are already cases in the other regions (North, Centre,
Alentejo and Algarve)”, adds the DGS in a statement.
According to the DGS, all infections confirmed by the
Instituto Nacional de Saúde Doutor Ricardo Jorge (INSA) are in men between the
ages of 19 and 61, most of whom are under 40 years of age.
“The identified cases remain under clinical follow-up and
are stable”, he adds.
The World Health Organization (WHO) said Saturday that the
current outbreak of the monkeypox virus does not represent a public health
emergency of international dimension, its highest alert level.
The director-general of the WHO agrees with the opinion of
the experts of the International Emergency Committee that it does not determine
that the event be treated as “a Public Health Emergency of International
Concern”, that is, that the alert level be raised.
Since the beginning of May 2022, 3,040 cases have been
reported to the WHO in 47 countries, according to the most recent data.
no one cares about monkey pox. stop trying to create another so called pandemic. It's not spread thru the air. So just stop, we are not interested at all. All people need to do is boost their immune systems. Eat raw garlic and take vitamin C!! It's basic and very simple. Go away with your stupid money pox. Yes MONEY POX is what it really is
