In a statement sent to the press, the low-cost airline explains that “the routes will be guaranteed twice a week”, with flights to Milan and Paris starting on December 4, while connections to Lyon start the day before, 3 December, and the operation between Porto Santo and London Gatwick starts on 2 November.

“The new routes represent a reinforcement of easyJet's position as the second airline to operate in Funchal, now featuring nine routes – 7 international and 5 domestic – to and from five countries (Portugal, United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy) and 460,000 available seats, which represents an increase of 46% in relation to the capacity of seats in the winter of 2021”.
