According to a report by Jornal da Madeira, the cancelled flight left 220 passengers in Lisbon and 177 in Porto Santo.
According to information obtained by JM, the airline did not give much explanation as to the reason behind the cancellation, which is of little consolation to passengers who are now left looking for accommodation over the New Year period – a time which traditionally has inflated prices.
I wonder whether the airline cancelling the flight is obliged to provide a solution for the passengers (i.e. provide accommodation, food vouchers, transport, ...).
