The next Jazz in the Gallery event will take place on
the 29th of July at 6pm until 8pm at the Lady in Red Gallery in
Lagoa. Local Jazz fans are not going to want to miss the upcoming Jazz in the
Gallery concert as it brings a varied repertoire of live Soul, Jazz, Blues and
Covers from Raphael Alves which is set beautifully at the Lady in Red’s
picturesque Bougainvillea terrace.
Speaking with Daniel Medeira, they have a new tapas
menu available for guests which includes a three cheese and chorizo platter
with ham, salami, olives, honey, homemade bread as well as regional sweets. The
Mediterranean tapas cost 15 euros for two people and 25 euros for four people.
Not forgetting, their wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks which
includes craft beers, gins, Quinta dos Capinhas Wines, soft drinks and coffees.
So, sit back and enjoy charming music from local musicians whilst enjoying a
well-deserved drink and delicious tapas.
Vasco Lamberti expressed that they even hope to have
Fado and other genres of music in the future. As the gallery wants to support
local musicians, I was told that if you are Jazz or Blues musician and would
like to perform at their Jazz in the Gallery evenings, please do not hesitate
to get in touch with the Lady in Red gallery through their contact details
below.
It is important to note that during the event the
gallery will be open after hours to view the exhibition with the current solo
exhibition being “EUFEMISMO POLICROMO” by artist Ana Malta known as @num.para on Instagram and all
the gallery’s art can be purchased on their website. Similarly, do not forget
to check out their lovely shop, where you can find unique pieces made by local
artisans during Jazz in the Gallery.
Daniela Medeira and Vasco Lamberti also confirmed that
the venue can be rented for private events and that in March they had a drinks
company event that was a great success. With Vasco adding that “We can host
many different events with a theme in mind in this unique space, including
cinema viewings as we have a professional cinema projector and stage to place
it on so we can create a fantastic cinema experience set amongst the gallery’s
outstanding art pieces.”
